All applicants, nominators, participants, reviewers, partners, and representatives associated with Apex Book of Records are expected to follow this Code of Ethics.

For world record recognitions, Apex Book of Records follows evaluation standards aligned with the International Council of World Records  where applicable.

Applicants and participants must:

  • Submit truthful information
  • Avoid manipulated or misleading evidence
  • Respect the integrity of the recognition process

Fraudulent submissions, fabricated records, or deceptive practices may result in rejection, revocation, or permanent disqualification.

2. Fairness & Impartial Evaluation

Apex Book of Records strives to ensure:

  • Equal treatment for all applicants
  • Objective and unbiased evaluation
  • Clear and transparent review standards
  • Independent review processes where applicable

Recognition decisions are based on:

Personal, political, financial, or social influence must not affect evaluation outcomes.

World record recognitions evaluated under

-aligned standards must:

  • Be measurable and verifiable
  • Be conducted safely and responsibly
  • Avoid harm or exploitation
  • Follow transparent evidence requirements
  • Respect local laws and regulations

Record attempts involving unsafe practices, unethical conduct, or manipulated evidence may be rejected regardless of performance.

6. Evidence & Documentation Integrity

Applicants and participants are expected to:

  • Provide authentic and verifiable documentation
  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Avoid plagiarism or unauthorized content usage
  • Obtain consent for submitted media and participant information

Apex Book of Records may conduct additional verification checks where necessary.

7. Privacy & Confidentiality

Reviewers, representatives, and affiliated parties must avoid situations where personal interests could influence decisions or evaluations.

Potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed immediately.

Apex Book of Records may reassign or remove individuals from evaluation processes where conflicts exist.

11. Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Fraudulent submissions
  • Manipulation of evidence or records
  • Harassment or abusive behavior
  • Unauthorized use of branding or certificates
  • Illegal, harmful, or exploitative activities
  • Attempts to compromise evaluation integrity

Violations may result in:

  • Removal from events or listings
  • Legal or administrative action where applicable
